I bought a used ford pickup truck in 2008. The forms I was shown and the salesman I talked to said the truck was in excellent mechanical shape. I noticed the "service engine soon" light was on and asked about it. The response? "We did a tune up and serviced the engine, and we don't have the computer here to turn the light off." Silly me, I believed it! It was a great vehicle.... until the ridiculously short warranty expired, anyways. I happened to buy it in the summer, fall came and rain. Yeah, okay... except that THE DOOR SEALS WERE TAPED ON! $105 each. Next, huge exhaust leak. $364. Oh, and that service engine light? The catalytic converters don't work. I now cannot drive my vehicle because it will NOT pass an AirCare inspection, and I don't have the $1900 to get it repaired. Yeah, thats what $24,000 will buy you at Dueck on Marine... a VERY expensive driveway ornament! I WILL NEVER recommend to my friends OR family, and I will NEVER buy another vehicle there, no matter how good the "deal" is. I wonder what will go wrong next?!
