Holgar at Kal Tire on Main Street told me my car's brakes needed to be replaced. He said my car's rear brakes were shredded and my front brakes had two millimeters left. He said Kal Tire would replace my brakes for around $1200.
I went to my garage and they took off the car wheels and inspected the brakes. The rear brakes were still very good at 70 -80%, and the front brakes were at 90%. The mechanic told me two other people had been in that week to have their brakes inspected. Kal Tire said their brakes were about to fail. Their brakes were actually fine too. Bottom line, buyer beware- don't trust Kal Tire!
